My name is Karin Godfrey. I've done West End and US touring musicals but since having my son in 2002, decided to stick closer to home and now am a touring singer in clubs and pubs. Though I enjoy the singing, I still long for my musicals. I am interested in joining a group primarily doing musicals.
Also if anyone knows anyone needing a dance teacher/choreographer. I have experience in both working with adult and childrens theatre groups and dance schools.

Four amateur actors are requiredÊfor exciting new play celebrating the gunpowder plot of 1605 and the involvement of the Tresham family. The production is to take place at a Northamptonshire National Trust property July 1st-3rd. This period costume drama is being arranged by local company Big Idea Productions and the amateur actors will be working alongside two professional actors and a professional theatre director.
We need 2 middleaged actors, fifties-sixties,(1m 1f) and 2 younger actors, mid twenties to mid thirties, (1m, 1f) and there may be scope for a few ushers/urchins to add atmosphere and perhaps be cheeky with the audience! Rehearsal schedule is to be arranged, therefore can be reasonably flexible, however availibilty in June would be an advantage. We are looking for talent, obviously, but also enthusiasm, alonside an ability to be supportive of one another.
To register interest, or request further details please contact, or leave a message for, Cate on 01933 316571 or email Cate |

I used to be a Pro musician in a band some 40 years ago and now I'm semi-retired (I'm just 60) from my career (but got a busy new business going) I'd like to start playing for dancing, Pantomime and other things again.
I thought that some AmDram might want some music input from time to time and I have a magnificent new keyboard which really does sound like anything from a Rock Group, Big Band or full orchestra to an intimate Jazz Combo. It could happily back a large group of singers, all on its own, or just provide incidental background music. It also has thousands of incredible sound effects, useful for all sorts of productions. I'd particularly enjoy playing for Panto, I think.
I'd be happy to play for free, of course. It's just for pleasure.Ê
My phone is 01295 738953 or Mobile 07889 751346 and I live just outside Banbury in Balscote.
Hope to hear from you |

Hi my name is Zoe Reynolds and I'm 25. My friend and I live in Abington and are looking for a local group that would be willing to let us join in the festivities and hard work. We graduated from Nene in 2001 from a Performance Studies degree. I love acting and my friend prefers the technical side.
Does anyone have any suggestions please? |

I'm trying to locate an old friend of mine who used to play drama and did performances, pantomime for schools etc. about 16 years ago. She used to live in Northampton (Purser Road). Her name is Linda Dhaidan (she married an Iraqi), but maybe she's divorced now.
I found your amateur drama site on the net. Maybe she's still living in Northampton and involved in drama of some kind, so I thought this would be an entry.
Have you ever heard of her? If so, please let me know. An (mail)address, phone number...everything is welcome!

Irchester Players |

We are desperately looking for a Musical Director for our small village society. We stage three shows a year, a panto, a play and something musical, this is where the MD comes in. Our last MD has moved out of the area and we desperately need someone to help us out with our next show. It is a medley of muscial numbers from currrent west end show and from show of yester year. This will involve rehearsals in Irchester starting in mid June through until the show in mid October. Like most societies our budget is restricted and so we cannot afford extremely costly musians , but if there is anyone who can help us it will be much appreciated.
Thank you
Steve Lack
